A new study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, finds that drugs are more effective for survival of high-risk stroke patients then stents. Co-author of the study, Dr. Colin Derdyn, an interventional neuroradiologist at the Washington University School of Medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, states that the study doesn’t seek to rule out stenting.
