Behind the Scenes of Our Ad Campaign

What the hospital really is, is a collection of people—staff and the patients they care for—all of whom have amazing stories to tell.

There’s a good reason nearly every broadcast season since the dawn of the television age has had in its lineup at least one, if not several, hospital dramas or comedies. Marcus Welby, MD, had a kindly doctor and patient stories; Dr. Kildare, a handsome doctor and patient stories; M*A*S*H, Scrubs, House and Nurse Jackie, some quirky doctors and nurses and… You get the idea.

A hospital like Barnes-Jewish may sometimes feel intimidating, with its multistory structures and interconnecting buildings, its collection of offices and intersecting walkways. But what the hospital really is, is a collection of people—staff and the patients they care for—all of whom have amazing stories to tell.

On Monday, Jan. 20, Barnes-Jewish Hospital launches a new advertising and information campaign that will introduce you to people who are eager to share their stories with you. You’ll meet courageous patients who traveled through illness and injury to arrive where they are now—happy, grateful and healthy. And you’ll meet their doctors, who talk about the skill and expertise they and their colleagues and hospital staff use to help people overcome cancer, heart failure, brain tumors and spine abnormalities.

We think you will be inspired by the stories this hospital is made of. Be sure to tune in on Monday at BarnesJewish.org!

Below are some production photos taken on the sets of 3 patient stories highlighted in our upcoming ad campaign.
