Holiday on the Plaza

The holiday season is officially here. And that means it’s time for the 8th annual Holiday on the Plaza, a spectacular multicultural event showcasing holiday traditions from around the world sponsored by Barnes-Jewish Hospital

Join us on Saturday, December 1 from 1 – 5 p.m. in Maryland Plaza between Kingshighway and Euclid for an afternoon of festive family entertainment. Admission is a new unwrapped toy or $5 per child. Adults are free. Fundraising efforts will benefit Our Little Haven, which provides a safe, healing environment for children and families who have limited access to specialized care they need.

The event will include the lighting of the 20 ft. holiday tree at the Maryland Plaza fountain, as well as performances, Santa and his antique sleigh, holiday petting zoo and pony rides, refreshments, Bob Kramer’s Marionettes, and an indoor interactive workshop for children of all ages.

We’ll also have several tables located in front of the Creperie, so stop by for some free Bissinger’s hot chocolate; learn more about organ transplantation and donation; and sign up for a drawing for a Central West End gift card. In addition, you’ll be able to send holiday wishes to organ transplant patients at the Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Transplant Center, which will be delivered along with 100 donated seedling trees.

We hope to see you there!
